In fact, if I were looking into a boot camp fitness program to get in shape, I would want to see REAL PROOF that a program could deliver the results they promise.

A top personal trainer should be able to do more than talk about the great results they can get you or show you a few brief client testimonials.

They should be able to PROVE they can deliver the results you're looking for.

If you are planning to invest in a Colorado Springs boot camp fitness program to get in shape or improve your health, ask for proof of results and to see some recent client success stories.

If a trainer can't provide this kind of concrete proof, than be careful!

"Since I graduated from high school I have always loved fitness and the way it made me feel.  I could not imagine my life without it, until something happened. "Due to circumstances in my life, I became quite the couch potato the end of 2008 and into 2009 gaining weight and slowly losing the battle against gravity.

All throughout High School I always played sports but never really ate right or worked out hard. I went off to college and right away I gained the "freshman 15" (maybe a little more). I wanted to look good and just be healthier. I wanted something more…more than just a regular workout at the gym. I went online and found Joe's Kickboxing program. I started in February and in March I went on a spring break trip to Lake Havasu. I took tons of pictures and posted them on Facebook. After having my second baby, my body was not bouncing back like it had previously done. I was tired, self conscience and unmotivated.

"I am a working mom in my early 40's with 2 daughters in elementary school. My time is very important, but I also know that it is important to stay fit. I had been exercising faithfully 5 to 6 days a week for over a year, with the intention of losing a few pounds, getting in shape and looking fit.

I have struggled with my weight since elementary school and several times over the years have lost a significant amount pounds only to gain them back… and more.  Now at 47, my life is so awesome but my weight was ruining everything.  My doctor refused my surgery request and instead suggested that I find a partner, find a personal trainer to hold me accountable every week.

My husband was overweight as well but I had never before included him on my diet efforts as I was just too embarrassed.  Broken, I asked him to be my partner and gratefully, he agreed to train with me.  Joe’s name was the first to come up in my search. Joe was a true God-send.

He insisted that the nutrition would be the biggest factor toward permanent weight loss.  To that we added 30-minutes of in-home personal training three times a week.  While I thought I was an expert on weight loss, I now realize how ignorant I was about true health and fitness.  What has happened the last 11 months can only be called a miracle.  I have lost 116 pounds (over 62 inches) and Mark has lost 50 pounds.  But more important than the weight loss and the perks that come with being thinner, has been the freedom to choose supportive food and movement, as well as having renewed health. 

Gone are the addictions to sugar, diet soda, fatty and processed foods.  Gone is high cholesterol and being unable to walk or go up stairs without pain.  I felt crappy for so long I didn’t even know what feeling good was like…and I still marvel at how good I feel. The food changes made an incredible difference in my menopause symptoms, depression and moodiness, and clear thinking. 

We have stayed on our meal plan over holidays, vacations and company.   It is possible!  And it is amazing how empowering it is! I am so grateful that God -through my doctor, my husband and Joe- has rescued and transformed me just in time.  We plan to continue to use his custom meal plan and web food log, to meet with Joe monthly to weigh, measure and discuss issues but he has equipped us to finish this journey.  I would have settled for being thin…and I would have missed the great benefit of good health for both of us and the great joy of having Mark as my partner in it."

Before I had my son four years ago, I was somewhat thin.  During my pregnancy, I gained 55 pounds (okay, more than that but I’m not going to tell, LOL.) Wow, the hard work is really paying off! I even have the confidence to wear a bikini now! "I’m a 42 year old mother of three (all three c-sections) who had been told I look good “for my age.”  I didn’t want to just look good for my age, I wanted to look great…for a younger age! 

The truth is that I didn’t even feel I looked good at all.  I knew about the fat that was lurking under my clothing.  I tried to camouflage it with baggy, long shirts.  But, ultimately, I took off my clothing and looked in the mirror and saw how out of shape I had become.  I tried a cleanse and lost weight, but my body was still flabby, and I just couldn’t maintain the liquid lifestyle needed to retain the weight loss.

One of the great things about Joe’s bootcamp is that even though there are other ladies in the class, you still receive personal training.  Your workout is what you need.  Joe will alter any exercise based on each person and any medical/physical needs.  He checks your form to make sure you are getting optimal performance from each exercise.  In addition to helping with form,  Joe offers individual encouragement to each person.  Joe cares about each person’s progress and will help you not just with your exercise fitness goals but your nutrition plan, as well.  All in all, it is personal training in a fun environment with the camaraderie of other ladies with an ever changing, fun-filled work-out.

 

As for my results, I have lost over 10 pounds, 18 inches, and 10% body fat.  I no longer dread trying on clothing…I actually really enjoy it now.  I can wear anything in my closet and drawers, but some things may be too big.  I went from wearing a tight size 6/7 to a nice fitting 2/3.  After having three c-sections, I never thought I would see an actual stomach muscle. I was sure I would have that muffin top forever.  I’m happily reporting that my muffin top is shrinking. It is a great feeling to have my pants be too big around the waist.  I have even needed smaller belts.  I actually ordered a bikini online and had to return the bottoms and exchange them from a small to an x-small. Several years ago I was involved in a serious skiing accident that involved 2 years of physical therapy. I decided to join Women's Boot Camp when my daily workouts at the gym became boring and cumbersome and I started to lose the motivation I once had.

Since working out at Joe's Boot Camp, I have not only been shedding more pounds, but have also gained more muscle tone and have TONS more energy. I lost 10.75 inches and 2 % body fat in my first 4 weeks.  It was the GREATEST feeling in the world walking through the mall and be able to go into my favorite stores and try on non-maternity clothes...it was a real confidence booster. And, most importantly, no two workouts are ever the same. The boot camp workouts have given me the confidence to try more non-traditional and fun ways to do my workouts. The atmosphere is FUN because you have a small group of women in the same situation and I found that this program was not intimidating like the gym sometimes can be. “If I can do this.....anyone can do this. I wasn't sure what Joe and his staff could do with me and for me and I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to handle the program or that I would fail....again. I am almost 45. I have been overweight for the last 17 years. I have asthma. I have arthritis in my left knee. Both of my hips hurt every day. I broke my wrist ten years ago and as a result of the pins that they used to set my wrist, it is now a little crooked. That causes wrist, elbow and shoulder pain if I do the wrong move or lift too much weight.

Did I happen to mention that I have been dealing with chronic fatigue for the last ten years? Every day I wake up more tired than when I went to bed the night before. If Joe's boot camp were too hard for anyone, it would be me. But here I am boot camp!!

In my group of twelve we have several ranges of fitness and ages and all twelve of us walk away from every boot camp workout challenged, in just a few weeks my clothes are starting to fit different, better. Two weeks after I started Joe's boot camp one of the trainers at my gym told me that he could tell I had been losing weight! WOOHOO!!! I had been stuck on a plateau for the last 9 months. Lose 5 pounds, gain 5 pounds, lose 5, and gain 5. I worked out at the gym harder and longer, but my clothes were still tighter and tighter.

We want more and better for our life than what we have had. So we all work together and we laugh together. All of that equals success.
