12-Week Challenge Discussion Board > What was/is your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?

I love sweets and always try to baragin with myself to come up with ways to ahve them. "If I eat this piece of chocolate then I will just work out a little bit harder". Well this past week, I learned to tell myself that that if I work out harder, then I will lose more weight. Wow what a concept! :)

I find dark chocolate kisses or other dark chocolates of an ounce or less really help me. One a day fits great into a diet as long as you're exercising, and it's such a treat at the end of the day.

Also, when I feel tempted, I remind myself that whatever food I'm craving isn't the only one in the world. There will be other cookies, muffins, cake in the world, it's not like this is the only one I can have. That makes it easier to say, "No, I pass."

Valentine's Day Special Trivia: If your significant other is watching his/her weight, you may want to buy him/her a bag of the "Be Mine" valentine heart candies rather than chocolate kisses. Compare the calorie/fat content below:

6 Hershey's kisses- 150 calories, 9 grams fat
6 small "Be Mine" heart candies- 18 calories, 0 grams fat
6 large "Be Mine" heart candies- 36 calories, 0 grams fat

I love my sweets and with a name like Candy it is hard to resist. I know chocolate is soooo much better tasting.
